Don't get me wrong, The Jersey Shore among other reality TV shows is my guilty pleasure. Hands down, I love to sit down, push play on our DVR and I enjoy watching Snooki and The Situation fist pump like champs. Today, however, as I watched these "guido/guidettes" it got me thinking about TV I used to enjoy before there was reality TV.

I loved, loved, loved The Wonder years. Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper won my heart from an early age. The songs, the story lines, the characters everything about that show made me super happy! It took you back to a simpler time...playing with your friends outside, family dinners, and first loves. The show ended when I was in 3rd grade but reruns played forever (Thank you Nick at Night)

So as I was watching my tacky TV tonight I started doing some investigating on the Wonder Years...sadly because they have never been able to get all of the musical artists to consent to putting their music on the DVD's there isn't a set of all 6 seasons. Trust me, the day they come out with The Wonder Years DVD, Kelly Pop will be first in line.

One more Shot

My first attempt to blog happened last March. Needless to say it was super unsuccessful. I didn't know how to make my page all cutesie, I didn't know how to post pictures, and I really didn't know what I wanted to say on this little blog so I got frustrated and gave up. However, I am now determined to do all those things...plus more...I am open to any suggestions and how to make my blog excellent.

First off, Hi, I'm Kelly. My life is really kinda perfect, for me! My husband and my dogs are my life. We are living in Colorado for the time being...however, we are still Texans through and through. Here I go...jumping right in!

Mike and and I have an exciting night planned...we are going to see Cross Canadian Ragweed perform! For all of you that ARE currently in Abilene or WENT to college in Abilene...you're like, BIG WOOP, they are here like 7 times a year or I've seen them like 5 times...yes, I feel the exact same way! However, they are in Grand Junction, Colorado...rare. Plus, Cross Canadian Ragweed holds a special place in the Popino's hearts. Why you ask...their concert was our first date...all the way back in 2003, when Guitars and Cadillacs was the Ponderosa. Oh memories, so we are going tonight in hopes to hear "The Boys from Oklahoma", "Carney Man", and all our other favorites that will take us back to a time when Mike had to "sneak" me beer because I was too young to drink, legally....

Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday and that you get everything done that needs to be done before another work week rolls around. Off to do some dishes and laundry.
